Saint John the Baptist Catholic School in Jordan, MN is seeking a part-time School Lunch Coordinator to lead our breakfast and lunch program with care, efficiency, and a heart for service. This is a 32–34 hour/week position on school days, typically from 7:15 AM to 2:15 PM..

We partner with Jordan Public Schools for much of the cooking! The lunch menus are done for us, and much of the food arrives hot and ready to serve. Some simple cooking is needed, like making corn dogs in the oven, chopping fruit and veggies for the salad bar, or heating up pancakes.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan, prepare, and serve a simple breakfast

  • Prepare as needed for lunch, and snacks for students and staff

  • Order food, snacks, and supplies like napkins

  • Complete reports and keep track of things like the temperature of the freezer

  • Clean the kitchen, wash the dishes, sweep and mop the floor 

  • Coordinate volunteers in the kitchen, help them feel welcomed and appreciated

  • Communicate with the school staff as needed

  • Work school days, with a day at the end of the year for summer cleaning

Who You Are:

  • A team player with strong organizational and at least basic cooking skills (heat things in the oven, chop fruit and vegetables)

  • Friendly, reliable, and able to work independently

  • Committed to upholding the values of our Catholic school community

Qualifications:

  • Current Food Service Manager Certification and ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic computer skills (e.g.able to send emails, able to print)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
